About Servant's Heart
For over 20 years, we've been serving families in Beech Grove and surrounding Indianapolis communities with food, clothing, furniture, and hope.
Our Mission
"To share God's abundance and demonstrate Christ's love by serving the needs of families."
Our Vision
A community where every family has access to basic necessities, feels supported in times of need, and experiences the love of Christ through service.
Why We Exist
Servant's Heart is a local nonprofit pantry outreach focused on serving the needs of local families. Support for this outreach is comprised of civic groups, churches, corporations, and individual volunteers - all working together to lend a helping hand in our community.
Over 33 million people in the United States exist at or below the poverty level. It is estimated in the greater Indianapolis Metropolitan area alone, 13.5% of the residents (60% of which are children), fall into the "below-poverty" category - many lacking even fundamental nutritional needs.
The need for food, clothing, and basic necessities in our own community is staggering. When you donate to Servant's Heart of Indy, you help ensure that a single mother can feed her children, a family will have beds and linens in which to sleep, a senior citizen is able to receive healthful and nourishing meals, and a child has warm clothing to wear.

20+ Years of Service
From a small holiday support drive to a year-round community outreach, here's how Servant's Heart has grown over the years.
The Beginning
During the 2002 Holiday Season, a group of volunteers and benefactors carried on a traditional Holiday support drive for local Beech Grove families. They provided food, clothing, furniture, toiletries, and gifts for 27 grateful families (39 adults and 90 children).
Official Incorporation
Recognizing the ongoing need, Servant's Heart of Indy was officially incorporated as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, establishing a year-round community outreach program.
Expanding Services
Added furniture assistance program to help families furnish their homes with essential items like beds, tables, and household necessities.
Growing Community Support
Established partnerships with local churches, civic groups, and corporations to expand our reach and impact in the community.
Turkey Drive Thru Launched
Began the annual Turkey Drive Thru event, which would grow to become known as 'The World's Largest Turkey Drive Thru', serving over 500 families each Thanksgiving.
Christmas Project Milestone
The Christmas Project blessed 500 kids with gifts under the tree, partnering with sponsors to reach out to families during the holiday season.
